Ovie Blasingame, 85, of North Little Rock passed away on Saturday, August 9th, 2008. He was born in Greenbrier, Arkansas to the late Elec Wade Blasingame and Aurella Adkins Blasingame. Ovie was a staff sergeant in the Air Force and serviced during WWII in Normandy, France. He retired from Wilson Freight Line and was a member of 47th Street Baptist Church in North Little Rock.
Ovie is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ruth Marie (Hooks) Blasingame of North Little Rock, one son Ron Blasingame and his wife Robyn of Maumelle, one grandson Spencer Blasingame, one granddaughter Allyson Blasingame, one great grandson Joel. He is also survived by his sister Nadean Pettus of Springdale, a sister in law Wanda Dean, a brother in law James Hooks and his wife Clarice of Sherwood, several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends, all who will miss him dearly.
Ovie was preceded in death by his parents, a twin sister, Covie, three sisters Decie, Ossie and Eva and five brothers James, Dewey, Dennis, Carl and Red.
The Family would like to thank Hospice Home Care and his special caregiver Pat Taylor for all their loving care and support.
