Mr. Maresch, a life-long resident of Manitowoc, was born December 5, 1899, the son of the late Jacob Maresch. He was employed by the Spoentgen shoe company for many years until that firm went out of business, then established a shoe repair business at Ninth and Jay streets. For the past two years he operated his business on Washington street until ill health forced him to retire.
The body is lying in state at the Pfeffer funeral home where brief rites will be held at 8:30 o'clock Wednesday morning followed by a requiem mass at the St. Boniface Catholic church at 9 o'clock with Msgr. George Radandt of Milwaukee as celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, the former Margaret Burkart, whom he married Sept. 23, 1924, three brothers, George, Edward and Eugene, all of Manitowoc, and two sisters, Miss Blanche Maresch, and Mrs. Clarence Einberger, the latter of Redsville.
