J. Wendel Holwich/Holben was a farmer and served in the Pennsylvania militia in the Revolutionary War as a Private. He was initially buried in the Union Cemetery but no marker exists; he was probably reburied in the Rowland Cemetery in Canton but that marker also does not exist. His wife was Maria Magdelena Gerber and his children were Magdalena (b 1776), Catherina Maria (b 1778), Catherina Elizabeth (b 1780), Regina Barabara (b 1782) and Jonathan (b 1792).
