NORTH OGDEN-Mrs. Sarah Luella Campbell Alvord, 77, of 2550 N. 200 E., died Wednesday afternoon at her home following an extended illness.
Mrs. Alvord was born Aug. 28, 1892, in Liberty, a daughter of Warren and Mary White Campbell.
She was married to George I. Alvord on Nov. 23, 1910, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She had resided in North Ogden since 1906.
She had taught in the Primary, was a member of the Relief Society and chairman of the quilt committee in the North Ogden LDS Ward. She was a Relief Society visiting teacher, served with her husband on the ward old folks committee, and was an active temple worker in the Canadian Arizona Temples.
Surviving are her husband, five sons, Lloyd I. Alvord, Ogden; Vern G. Alvord, Salt Lake City; Carl I. Alvord, Paradise Valley, Ariz.; Paul E. Alvord, Okinawa; Dr. Ray W. Alvord, Fairborn, Ohio; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Bessie Randall Hugi, Logan; Mrs. Ray (Vera) Woodfield, Donald I. Campbell, both of North Ogden; Coral Campbell, Mesa, Ariz.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the North Ogden 2nd-4th Ward Chapel, 670 E. 2100 N., with Bishop J. Gordon Vaughan of the North Ogden 2nd Ward officiating.
Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the ward chapel Monday after 12 noon. Burial in the North Ogden City Cemetery.
