Anton L. Tony' Weber, age 80, of Martinez, passed away, Sunday morning, April 6, 2003 at his residence.

A native of Austria, he had resided in the Augusta area since moving in the military service from Germany in 1961. Mr. Weber had served in the U.S. Army, as a Supply Sergeant, for 22 years, until retiring in October of 1966, from Ft. Gordon. After retiring from his Military career, he worked at Jernigan Hardware in Augusta as the Warehouse Manager for 7 years and later worked at the Goodyear Service Center as Manager for another 6 years. An admirer of the outdoors, Mr. Weber enjoyed and looked forward to visits to Fripp Island, and any opportunity to relax and practice the art and his love of fishing.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Mary Ann Weber, who passed away in February of 2000.

He is survived by their son, Dennis L. Weber, Atlanta; their daughters, Ingrid W. Stulb, Augusta, Maria W. Glover, Franklin, Tenn., Theresa W. Aaronson, Evans, Geneva W. Lockeretz, Atlanta; seven grandchildren; and 2 sisters.

A private memorial service will be held by the family. Interment will follow at a later date in Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC with full military honors.
