Martin, (Boots) died at Fremont Medical Center. He was born in Sisikon Uri, Switzerland. he was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 50 years.

He was a retired truck driver for Baldwin Contracting Co., in Marysville for 20 years. He also worked for the Yuba-Sutter Transit and Marysville Joint Unified School District as a bus driver.
He was a graduate of East Nicolaus High School. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Marysville, also the Marysville Council 1869, Knights of Columbus, Sacramento Swiss Sports Club in Nicolaus, South Sutter Senior Citizens, and Widowed Persons Association of California.
He served in the U. S. Army during WWII.
Survivors include two sons, Tom and Tim, both of Marysville; two daughters, Sharon Baggett of Marysville and Shirley Hanks of San Jose and four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Bernice.
