COLUMBUS - Edward S. (Hutch) Alexie almost 102 formerly of Kent passed away Sunday April 26, 2020 at home in Columbus Ohio.

Born May 23, 1918 to Steve and Amilia he had 4 siblings Mary (Maimee), Jon, Joe and Corrine (who died from the Spanish Flu Pandemic). He attended St. Pats School. He met his wife Ruth Baughman on Brady Lake in a canoe one summer. They were married almost 72 years when she passed in December 2012. He served in the Army in World War ll. Afterwards he went to work at BF Goodrich for almost 37 years.

He was living in Columbus Ohio with his only child, Carol and husband Craig Heyder. He also leaves behind his granddaughter Alexis Lux and her husband Craig Sutter of Oklahoma City and many nieces and nephews.

He has been cremated and burial will be at the Western Reserve National Military Cemetery in Seville Ohio at a later date.
