Thyes Leone Hill of Olympia died September 29, 2018 at the age of 103. She was born August 25, 1915 to Claude & Lettie Butcher in Huron, SD. When she was 8 years old, she won the Charlston Dance Contest. She always remembered siting on her porch and watching soldiers marching down her street after WWI. Thyes was married January 27, 1937 to Martin Roy Hill in Grand Rapids, MN. She worked for Boeing during WWII and was a riveter on the first B-29 that rolled off the line. She then concentrated on being a mother and raising her family. She is survived by her, daughter, Marlene R. Hill (James H.) of Shelton, WA; sons, Marc Hill of St. Maries, ID and Martin Hill (Emiliya). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren. Thyes is preceded in death by her husband, Martin Roy Hill Oct. 29, 1991, brothers, Donald, Claude, and Lester; sisters, Frances, Audrey, and LaVonne and grandson, Todd Marc Hill.
