Private Family Services were held at Jacobsen-Greenway-Dietz Funeral Home in St. Paul, Nebraska. A Private Interment was in the Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul. Military Honors were provided by the Carl Mogensen American Legion Honor Guard.
Harry was born on February 5, 1927 in the family farmhouse north of Glenwood, Iowa to Bacil & Hilda (Stille) Hunt. He attended grade school north of Glenwood & Beebeetown, Iowa. He graduated from high school in Oakland, Iowa. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1951-1953. He worked on the Railroad (CNW & Rock Island) for many years. His hobbies included gardening, hunting, fishing, and watching his boys play sports. He was an avid baseball fan especially watching the A’s and the Royal’s. His favorite player was George Brett of the Royals. He was a member of the American Legion Club, VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars), and the DAV (Disabled American Veterans).
Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Kerry Hunt of Florida and John Hunt of Arizona; daughter, Cindy Hunt; sister, Mary Ellen Burns; 3 grandchildren; & 3 great-grandchildren.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Bacil & Hilda; wife, Myra; and brother, Charles.
