Mrs. Williams was born April 27, 1897, in Josserant and died Saturday in a local nursing home. She had resided in Lufkin for several years. Mrs. Williams was a retired domestic and a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church where she had been active as choir and mission president and secretary of the Sunday School for many years.
Survivors include 2 sisters, a brother-in-law, two sisters-in-law, a nephew whom she raised as a son, and numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nephews, great-nieces.
Deacons of Mt. Olive Baptist Church will be honorary pallbearers.
