She was the daughter of David Franklin and Mary Flora Greenman Gray Bowles of Kansas.Her children were Charles Edward Tede,Jr and Frances Ellen Tede Tillman. Her sisters were Kate Effie Bowles Hamann, Ellen Martha Bowles Gitchell,Frances Adeline Bowles, Myrtle Leona Bowles Crabtree, and brothers Steve Allen Bowles,Arthur Lee Bowles, Myron Ellis Bowles, David Ernest Bowles.She also had a half brother, George Norman Gray and half sister, Edna Mary Gray Hamann.
Mrs.Tede was the 1st regent of the Dona Ana Daughters of the American Revolution chapter in LasCruces,NM.
