HARVEY DOUGLAS WALTHER

Harvey Douglas Walther, 89, formerly of Philadelphia passed away at his residence surrounded by his family in Skippack. He was the beloved husband of the late Beverly Ann (Christy) Walther who passed away in 1993.
Born December 7, 1930, in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Curt and Anna (Rathschmidt) Walther. Mr. Walther served his country in the U.S. Airforce and the U.S Coast Guard.
Harvey was a very selfless person, always ready to give without asking for anything in return. He worked as an Electrical Inspector for the City of Philadelphia for many years and retired in 1993. Since then he spent his time with family and doing odd jobs for friends. He loved to hunt, fish, and golf. He was a member of The Toad's Golf Group of Roxborough, in Philadelphia, PA.
He is survived by his children Douglas William Walther and his wife, Tricia, of Skippack, Mark Dwight Walther of Melbourne, FL, Robin Alison Chapman and her husband, Thomas, of Collegeville, Shawn Paul Walther and his wife Leann of Norfolk, VA; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his siblings, Kurt, Joseph, Richard, and Walton Walther.
Services will be held privately for the family. Burial will take place in the church yard at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Roxborough.
