Lowell L. Boggs 79, of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015 at his residence.

Mr. Boggs was born February 5, 1936, at Newcombe, Kentucky, a son of the late Luther and Edna Lewis Boggs.

Lowell was a born again Christian and a member of the Concord Enterprise Baptist Church, he was a retired Carpenter.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one son, Donald Davis Boggs, one daughter, Thena Lynn Boggs, sisters, Effie Jean Dickerson and Della Rene Stevens, and a brother, Billy Lee Boggs.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Glenna Skaggs Boggs, one son and spouse, Robert and Sandy Hall of Morehead, Kentucky, three daughters and spouses, Debbie and Perry Maggard, Jody and David Maggard and Lisa B. Wright all of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, one brother and spouse, George Edward and Diana Boggs of Grayson, Kentucky, three sisters and spouses, Arlene and Talmadge Stevens, Edith and Clavis Dickerson all of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, Judy and Bill Tabor of Frankfort, Kentucky, nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, church family, neighbors and friends who will sadly mourn his passing.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, April 17, 2015, at Waddell & Whitt Funeral Home in Sandy Hook with Bro. Franklin Gillum and Bro. Ricky Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Boggs Cemetery in Elliott County.
