From The Idaho State Journal (Pocatello, ID) - Tuesday, August 8, 1972:
BANCROFT - William Albert Mabey, 96, Bancroft, died Sunday evening at Caribou Memorial Hospital of a long illness.
He was born October 7, 1875 at Woodruff, Utah to Joseph T. and Sarah L. Tolman Mabey. He and Nan Briskey were married October 7, 1912 at Pocatello. She died February 28, 1933.
He had moved to Bancroft in 1907 and had been a sheepman and businessman until his retirement in 1912. He had served on the Pebble School Board and had been a member of the Idaho Wool Growers Association. He was a member of the LDS Church.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter, Keith H, and James W., both of Bancroft, and Mrs. Ruth Donaldsen of Salt Lake City; 18 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters, Dr. Orson Mabey of Malad, Mrs. Alice Fishler of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Sarah Hepworth of Bountiful; two sons, Jack and Ralph, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Bancroft Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Gerald Tolman conducting. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. at the Bountiful Cemetery in Bountiful, Utah.
