Robert L. DeZeeuw, age 86, of Manitowoc, died on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Aurora Medical Center of Manitowoc County with his daughter at his side.

Robert was born on June 21, 1930 in Chicago, IL, son of the late Peter and Irene (VanderSys) DeZeeuw Sr. He attended school in Manitowoc and graduated from Lincoln High School. He served in the United States Air Force from 1952 - 1953 as an Airman on a A26 Bomber. Robert owned and operated Easy Rest Bedding Company until his retirement. Robert was a 1989 Champion Trap Shooter and trained a champion Golden Retriever.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Kristen (David) DeZeeuw LaFond, Wichita, KS; two sons: James R. DeZeeuw and his family; David L. DeZeeuw and his family; one sister-in-law: Elaine DeZeeuw; two nephews: Mark P. DeZeeuw; Jeffrey DeZeeuw, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother: Peter DeZeeuw Jr.

According to Roberts wishes no services will take place at this time and inurnment of his cremated remains will take place at Knollwood Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be expressed at www.jensreinboldandpfeffer.com
