FLORIAN DWORAK
(1926 - 2011)
Florian Dworak, age 85, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2011 surrounded by family at Harmony Assisted Living in Manitowoc.
Florian was born on May 12, 1926 to Joseph and Caroline (Zeman) Dworak of Francis Creek. He was a graduate of Mishicot High School and married Loretta Johnsen in 1948. Florian farmed west of Rockwood, and until his retirement he also bought and sold hogs and cattle for Wisconsin Feeder Pig and Midwest Livestock Producers. In retirement Florian loved to spend time in his woods splitting firewood and helping his nephews on their elk ranch.
Surviving Florian are his four sons, Paul of Crivitz; Roger, and Mark (Amy) all of Manitowoc, Bryan (Robin) of Cedarburg; one daughter, Kathy Kripps (Larry) of Seattle, Washington; 10 grandchildren and two great grandsons. Also surviving are his brothers, Norval Dvorak (Jean), Joe Dworak (Lyn), and one sister, Darlene Wellner (Donald). Preceding Florian in death besides his parents was his wife of 61 years, Loretta; his brother Franklin and daughter-in-law, Linda Dworak.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at the Reinbold Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, Kellnersville. Rev. Thomas J. Dunham will officiate at the service, with entombment to follow in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning at the funeral home.
Memorials will be made to Heifer International, an organization that provides livestock to families in need around the world.
