Lorraine C. Franz, age 85, of 3319 Bellevue Place, Two Rivers, entered into eternal life Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at her residence.

Lorraine was born May 31, 1926 in the town of Two Rivers to the late Charles and Rose Nocker Haws and has been a lifelong area resident. She married Victor Franz, November 27, 1946 at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Two Rivers, and he preceded her in death March 21, 2009. Lorraine was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Two Rivers.

She is survived by two daughters: Sharon Baetz, and Sandra Franz, both of Two Rivers; two sisters: Dolores Schultz, of Tisch Mills, Margaret Meissner, of Two Rivers; two brothers: Charles Haws, of Kewaunee, Allen (Janet) Haws, of Two Rivers; and by a brother-in-law, Cyril Franz, of Mishicot, and sister-in-law, Lucille Franz, of Florida, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Lorraine was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Victoria, and infant son, Victor, a son-in-law, Patrick Baetz, and by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Roland Franz, Raymond Schultz, Glen Meissner, Fred Miller, Francis and Emily Fricke, Harold and Lucille Wilfert, Wencil and Gertrude Oswald, John and Caroline Haag, Alice Brunner, and Delores Franz.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 30, 2011 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Two Rivers, with the Reverend Dick Mauthe officiating, with entombment to follow in the Knollwood Mausoleum, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call after 9:00 a.m. on Friday at the church, until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. There will be no Thursday evening visitation. It was Lorraine's wish that no flowers be sent.

The Franz family would like to express a very special thank you to the entire staff of the Manitowoc County Hospice, and especially to Tina and Denise, for the special care given to Lorraine during her illness. Your kindness will always be remembered.

The Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home of Mishicot is assisting the Franz family with funeral arrangements.
