RICK EMOND
(1959 - 2011)

Rick Emond, age 51, of 4120 Custer St. Manitowoc, went home to Jesus Thursday evening, May 19, 2011, following a 21 year battle with heart and lung disease, with his beloved wife and son at his side.

Rick was born September 25, 1959 in Two Rivers, a son of Richard and Elaine ( Stuebs) Emond. He attended St. John's Parochial School, and Manitowoc Lutheran High School, graduating with the class of 1977. From 1977 to 1980, Rick served his country with the United States Army, and on Jan. 30, 1982 was married to Joyce Cody at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Rick worked for Federal Mogul Corp. of Manitowoc as a machine operator for 25 years. He also worked part-time for the Herald Times Reporter. He was a faithful member of Grace Congregational Church in Two Rivers; he loved fishing, camping, bowling and the precious time spent with his family, especially his sons and his granddaughter, Lydia. He enjoyed watching his son Christopher play basketball while at Lincoln High School, and was known by his family as the "jokester" who loved to laugh and always enjoy a good time. Rick was the best husband and father in the world and will be greatly missed by his family although they take great comfort in knowing he is now in the arms of the Lord.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce; two sons, Matthew Emond of Oshkosh and special friend, Tanya; Christopher Emond of Manitowoc & special friend, Emily; one granddaughter, Lydia; his parents Richard and Elaine Emond, Two Rivers; and his brothers and sisters: Carla Emond - Walker and her husband, Cory, Arizona, Paul (Lisa) Emond, Manitowoc, Mark (Patty) Emond, Sr., Montello, and Sarah (Fred) Warner, Two Rivers. He is further survived by his godfather, Pastor Martin Stuebs, Sr. of Ixonia; two sisters-in-law, Chris (Darrell) Butler, Judy Gleichner & special friend, Jason Sorge; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins & friends. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Raymond & Mary Cody; godfather, Warren Stuebs; paternal grandparents, Luke & Hilda Emond; and maternal grandparents, Erich and Caroline Stuebs (godmother).

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2011 at Grace Congregational United Church of Christ, 2801 Garfield St. Two Rivers. Rev. Kim Henning will officiate at the service, with burial to follow in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.
