Born in Scotts Hill, North Carolina, the daughter of William Sanderson and Lela Lucas Bloodworth. Had 1 brother named Willie Sanderson. Lived in Rocky Point, North Carolina from 1888 to 1951. Married to Marvin William Nelson Sr. on October 25, 1911 in Scotts Hill, North Carolina. She had 2 children named Marvin William Nelson Jr. and Lela Cecilia Elizabeth Nelson.
