Nahunta – Michael “Mike” Alexander, 45, of Nahunta passed away Monday evening (May 4, 2020) at Memorial Health Medical Center in Savannah after an extended illness.

Born in Colorado Springs, Colorado his mother was Pamela Joyce Selby. He is also preceded in death by a son, Dominic Alexander.

Mike was the owner of J & M Auto before his health declined and attended Set Free Church. He was always helping others and didn’t mind lending a hand to someone in need. Mike was the ultimate handy man and was always fabricating, tinkering, building, and creating things. He also enjoyed working on cars and writing computer software.

Survivors include his wife, Ronda Alexander of Nahunta; 5 sons and daughters-in-law, Isaac Lloyd (Johnna) of Hortense, Dustin Lloyd (Toni) of Wyoming, and Brandon Lloyd (Fiancé Megan) of Panama City Beach, FL, Damen Alexander and Noah Alexander; 3 daughter, Myra Lloyd of Panama City Beach, FL, Malieka Alexander and Aspyn Hurlburt; 8 grandchildren, Jace, Karter, Jayleigh, Dawson, Emily, Joshua, Victoria and Malachi; maternal grandparents, Jean Burleson of Alaska; mother-in-law, Sharon O’Quinn of Tennessee; father-in-law, Larry Norris (Barbara) of Lulaton; an aunt, Marsha Swafford of Alaska; and also several other relatives and friends.

Due to the COVID-19, the family will have a private graveside Friday (May 8, 2020) at Smyrna Cemetery.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
