Doolen M. Peeschek, age 86, lifetime resident of Two Rivers, died peacefully Friday night, April 21, 2017 at the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center following a brief battle with cancer.

He was born in Two Rivers on June 2, 1930 to the late John and Anna (Siudzinski) Peeschek and attended both Sacred Heart Catholic School and Washington High School in Two Rivers. On July 1, 1961 he was united in marriage to Mary J. Belongia at St. Mark's Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on March 11, 2009. Doolen worked for Mirro Aluminum Co. for 48 years, retiring in 1994. In his younger days, he enjoyed hunting & fishing; he played Dartball in the Two Rivers City League for many years; he was a lifetime member of St. Joe's Athletic Association; and enjoyed gardening & bike riding his entire life.

He is survived by his two children, Therese Peeschek, and Dan (Tracy) Peeschek, all of Two Rivers; a special niece, Helaine Jordan, of Manitowoc; three brothers-in-law, Edmund and Sandy Belongia, Gerald and Ruth Belongia, all of Two Rivers, Jerome Sell, Ocala, FL; one sister-in-law, Linda Parworth, Lutz, FL; along with other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, and his wife, Mary; he was also preceded in death by one sister, Irene Kornely; infant brother, Donald; and two sisters-in-law, Joyce Sell and Betty Hallada.

A memorial mass for Doolen will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 28, 2017 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd. Two Rivers. The memorial mass will be celebrated by a nephew, Fr. Brian Belongia, with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of mass at 11:00 a.m. There will be no Thursday evening visitation.
