Owen Kring is the son of Charles Dayton Kring and Minnie M.(Smart) Kring.
Owen would be my uncle, half-uncle, or step-uncle, not really sure how that works.
Charles and Minnie lived in Stark and Grant Township (which includes Stark), Kansas for a while, but moved at some point to Bourbon County, Kansas, and was listed in the 1910 Census there, and eventually wound up in Gulfport, MS by the 1930 Census.
(per me on March 24, 2012)
*************************************
Owen had one sister, Vera Ione Kring Prinz, who died in 2000 and is buried in Mobile County, AL. Children from Charlie and Cora's marriage include Eleanor K. Kring Johnson, Iva Ruth Kring Smith Hartman, and Cyril D. Kring (died 2008, current burial location unavailable). Cora had one child with her first husband, Will Jordan: Helen Grace Jordan Forbes.
Cemetery has also been listed as Stark, not Savonburg, in some places.
Owen's maternal grandparents are both buried in the same cemetery:
James B. Smart (1845 - 1897)
Nancy P. Smart (1848 - 1914)
