Elaine was born on December 14, 1922 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Alex and Carola (Haase) Levendusky. She was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1940. On October 13, 1945 she married Loverl “Bud” J. Leschke at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on October 7, 2001. Elaine worked at Mirro for 25 years and helped run the family business, Leschke’s Milk Hauling, with her husband. She enjoyed traveling and bingo. Elaine loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include one daughter: Diane Schuler, St. Nazianz; three sons and two daughters-in-law: Ronald and Sue Leschke, Manitowoc, Jeffrey Leschke, Newton, Dean and Eileen Leschke, Newton; eight grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; 10 step-grandchildren; 15step- great grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law: Lorraine and Henry Meyer. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter-in-law: Phyllis Leschke; one son-in-law: Duane Schuler; three sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Geraldine and Donald Laures, Phyllis and Jerome Krupski, Margorie and Andrew Berg; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Russel and Alice Leschke; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Joseph and Lillian Leschke.
Private family services will be held at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and Elaine will be entombed at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.
