Wayne David Meisner, age 69, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.

Wayne was born on April 18, 1951 in Manitowoc to the late John and Bernadette (Kieffer) Meisner. After attending Lincoln High School, Wayne enlisted in the United States Army in 1969 and served his country until his honorable discharge in 1974. On August 16, 1975, Wayne married Judy Vandenbusch at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He had worked at Parker Hannifin Corporation for 47 ½ years. Wayne enjoyed playing in his pool league, golfing, bowling, and was a Packer and Brewer fan. He also enjoyed attending his great niece’s and nephew’s sports functions and taking walks and rides with his dog, Brandy. Wayne was a member of Manitowoc Eagles Aerie #706 and a former member of AMVETS Post 99.

Survivors include Wayne’s wife of 44 years, Judy; sister, Nance (Matt) Keenan, Cushing; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Peter (Audrey) Vandenbusch, Gladys (Will) Penn, Glenn (Linda) Vandenbusch, Anne (Herbie) Hochkammer, and Donnie (Jean) Vandenbusch; nieces and nephews: Jay Meisner, Nick Lang, Mike Keenan, Casey (Sara) Hochkammer, Tyler (Nicole) Hochkammer, Curtis (Steven) Vandenbusch, Stacey (Greg) Schroeder, Tory Vandenbusch, Sydney Vandenbusch, and Kody Johnson; great nieces and nephews: Livvie, Megan, Gary, Beth, Carter, Cameron, Conner, and Dein Hochkammer; also numerous other family and friends. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, John and Bernadete Meisner; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Joan Vandenbusch; brother, Dale Meisner; also many aunts, uncles, and other family.

Complying with Wisconsin’s protocol for COVID-19 guidelines, a Life Celebration Social will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc, located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home at a later date. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with entombment of Wayne’s cremated remains at Knollwood Mausoleum.
