GEORGE S. PHILLIP

George S. Phillip, age, 83, a Two Rivers resident died unexpectedly Thursday, November 19, 1998 at the Two Rivers Community Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 21, 1998 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Maple Grove. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Tom Long with burial at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Maple Grove.
George was born April 28, 1915 at Maple Grove, son of the late Joseph J. and Emma Swoboda Phillip. He was educated at St. Patrick's School, Maple Grove. He was a life long dairy farmer, retiring in 1980. He was married to Viola Fiel on June 7, 1938 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Glenmore. She preceded him in death on November 2, 1985. He was married to Dorothy J. Harlow-Komoroski on March 8, 1988. George was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Maple Grove,the Holy Name Society of the Church. He served as an usher, was past president of the parish council and involved in many parish activities. He was a former Board of Director at the Reedsville Cooperative and a member of the Reed-Way Sportsman Club. He enjoyed deer hunting, picking berries and traveling.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, Two Rivers; children include, Ruth and Jack Ebert, Kellersville, Audery and Jim Ebert, Whitelaw, Colleen and Roger Meidl, Whitelaw, Don and Judy Phillip, Reedsville, John and Michelle Phillip, Maple Grove; step-children include, Sandra Kouba, Manitowoc, Gene and Paulette Kouba, Two Rivers, Shirley and Bill Graven, Fort Worth, Ind., Gary Kouba, Yakama, Wash. ;23 grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Kenneth Young, Green Bay; one brother-in-law and three sisters-in-law, William and Beata Fiel, Julia Haen and Betty Treml; nieces,nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. George was also preceded in death by his first wife, Viola; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Joseph Jr. and Laverne Phillip, Edward Phillip;and one nephew, Tony Phillip.
Relatives and friends may call at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, Kellnersville from 4 -9 p.m. Friday, and at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m.until the time of service. A parish prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
