Hughes, Toni R., 69, Cresson, passed away May 8, 2020 at Select Specialty Hospital, Johnstown. Born October 18, 1950, Chicago, IL, daughter of the late Leelan and Aline (Sigmon) Estep. Preceded in death by her husband, Donald “Sonny” Hughes; brother, Allen Estep; niece, Sydnie Estep; and nephews, Craig and Joseph Baum, and Tyler Montgomery. Survived by her children, Bryan (Trish) Hughes, McKeesport; Laura (JT) Hughes, Cresson; Gregory (Taylor) Hughes, Blairsville; and Beverly (Kelly) Hughes, Grampian; 9 grandchildren, Alex, Colin, Taylor, Allison, Emma, Beau, Tyler, Abigail and one on the way; sister, Leah (Michael) Montgomery, Lilly; sister-in-law, Mary Estep, Cresson; and her beloved dog, Scrappy. Toni was a 1976 graduate of Marshall University. She was a lifetime member of the Sankertown VFW Post 7377 Ladies Auxiliary. Toni enjoyed karaoke, puzzle books and shopping. Due to the recent COVID-19 recommendations and restrictions, the family will have a private viewing and services. Interment Cresson Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to the funeral home to help the family defer expenses.
