Born on November 11, 1938, John Barker Barham, died on May 5, 2020, in Mesquite, TX after a brief illness.

He was a graduate of Louisiana Tech University and a US Air Force veteran. He was an active member of New Covenant United Methodist Church in Sunnyvale, TX, and a valuable leader in his local congregation, district, and the North Texas Annual Conference as a teacher, preacher, tech guru and lay hospital chaplain. He was the go-to person for The Barham family history before the days of Family ancestry and DNA, sharing his research with everyone who was interested.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. William Carl Barham, Sr. and Marie Barker Barham, and his brother, William Carl Barham, Jr. He is survived by his sister, Doris Barham Luther of Spartanburg, SC, five adult nieces and nephews, and a multitude of wonderful friends.
