Mrs. Rose F. Blaska, of Rt. 2, Marshall, died at her home Sunday, April 30, 1978. She was 93 years old. She was born in the Town of Medina on March 4 , 1885 to Anton and Theresa Schuster. On May 11, 1909 she married John M. Blaska who preceded her in death in May of 1957. They farmed in the Town of Sun Prairie where she continued to make her home. Mrs. Blaska is survived by 9 children; Mrs. Evelyn Owens of Sun Prairie, Mrs. Lila LaBaro of Sun Prairie, Cyril J. Blaska of Oconomowoc, Miss Burdette Blaska of Vero Beach, FL, Jerome Blaska of Route 2, Sun Prairie, Juanita Blaska of Route 2, Marshall, John Blaska of Route 1, Watertown, Gregory Blaska of Route 2, Marshall and Mrs. Franklin (Elaine) Wood of McFarland. She is also survived by four sisters; Mrs. Eda Hebl of Marshall, Mrs. Josephine Pirkl of Pine City, MN, Sister Mary Magdala Schuster of Elm Grove, and Sister Mary Magna Schuster of Superior. Mrs. Blaska was a member of Sacred Hearts Church and its St. Ann's Society, the Twentieth Century Club, the Colonial Club, the Island Church Foundation of Waterloo, the Sun Prairie Historical Society, The Eastern Dane local of the Farmers Union and Farm Bureau Council 2. The funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 3 in Sun Prairie at the Tuschen Funeral Home and at Sacred Hearts Church at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with recitation of the Rosary at 7:30 p.m. WSJ 5/2/1978
