A celebration of Bette Marsh Halberg’s life will be held Saturday June 8, at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 900 Blythe Avenue, Hendersonville, NC. Bette died Friday, June 7, 2013.
Bette, age 89, was born on October 29, 1923 in Crandon, Wisconsin to Fay and Myrtle Howard Marsh.
She is proceeded in death by her husband, Jack Halberg, brothers Dick and Bob Marsh, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bob and Ruth Halberg.
She is survived by her son William Marsh Halberg and wife Carolyn, of Raleigh, NC, and son Marsh John Halberg and wife JoAnn of Chaska, MN. Bette has four grandchildren: Chris, Ryan (and wife Rebecca), Anna, and Lauren, and two great grandchildren Hayden and Hunter.
Bette is known for her love of wildflowers, birds, cooking, baking cookies, teaching school, and being an outgoing, caring friend.
A private interment service will take place in Two Rivers, WI, at a future date.
