Nell Gastineau, 94, died Friday, Dec. 27 1996, at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville. Born Sept. 26, 1902 in Indiana, but reared in Nowatta, OK, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Jennie Hurt Van Huss. She was the widow of William Bryan Gastineau. She was a retired employee of the Bluegrass Ordnance Army Depot in Richmond. She was a member of the West Side Christian Church in Richmond. Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. A.J. "Lorraine" Hatfield of Bohon and Mrs. Virgil "Virginia" Tapp of Louisville; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Lucas officiating. Burial was in the Lancaster Cemetery.
