Gretchen Aaron, age 83, passed away peacefully due to natural causes on Monday, May 11, 2020, in Delray Beach, FL. Gretchen was born March 15, 1937, in Iron Mountain, MI, to Nina & Elmer Koffman.

She was a loving daughter, sister and mother.
She graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1954 and graduated Cum Laude with a Major in Psychology and Minor in English from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
In addition to being a huge fan of the Wolverines, she was highly intelligent and always valued her education, steeped in Michigan values and traditions. Early in her career, she worked in advertising supporting executives for major agencies in the 1950's and 1960's, such as Atherton.
Later in life, she worked as the executive assistant to the Chairman of the School of Visual Arts in NYC and as the administrator of a Jewish Temple in Boca Raton, FL.

She was married for over 20 years to Larry Aaron; they divorced in 1996.
Her adult life was split between New York, NY and Boynton Beach, Florida. She spent many summers with her family at the Jersey Shore (Monmouth County, NJ) and had many of her closest friendships and best experiences there – she LOVED the beach and always welcomed friends and family to visit the family’s summer homes there over the 1970's – 1990's.

Gretchen is survived by her brother Peter (Judy Clark) Koffman;
one loving son, Joshua (Sophia) Aaron;
three grandchildren: Jonathan, Abigail and Madeline;
and former daughter in law, Lisa.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister in law, Vivien Koffman.

In accordance with her Jewish faith, she will be buried at Congregation Montefiore Cemetery with Rabbi Moishe Steigmann, Marinette, WI on Friday, May 15, 2020; services to commence at 11:00 am CDT.
