Bambi, along with 20 other dogs, was rescued from a hoarding situation. She weighed only 6.2 pounds when we adopted her from Central Illinois Sheltie Rescue. Bambi was a good girl, although when you picked her up and got in her face, she would growl at you! We never knew her real birthday. Two months before she passed, she started having trouble with fluid building in her chest, making it difficult for her to breathe. After so many chest tappings, her protein was very low. We took her to our vet in Eldon and let her be put to sleep. She bit at the solution as it was injected into her because it was cold. I held her as she passed. She was my precious girl.
