Fredia Berg, 67, of La Porte, IN, passed away Saturday May 16, 2020 at La Porte Hospital in La Porte.
She was born March 19, 1953 in Valparaiso, Indiana, the daughter of Russell and Anna (Lear) Walls.
A lifelong resident of the area, Fredia graduated from Boone Grove High School in 1971. On October 14, 1972 she married her best friend, Douglas Berg. Fredia was a dental office manager before her retirement. She is member of the 1st Church of God, La Porte, where she volunteered at Sunday School and she loved to go camping. She was a loving wife of 48 years, mother and grandmother.
Fredia is survived by her husband, Doug; son, Michael Berg of Mill Creek; daughter, Jessica (Michael) Carteaux of La Porte; brother, Carroll "Bud" (Diane) Walls of Valparaiso, IN; six grandchildren, Payton, Michaela and Ian Berg, Jaelyn Gaunt, Jackson and Jolie Carteaux; several nieces and nephews.
Fredia was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Nancy Walls, Geneva Clark, Annette DeArmand and Peggy Rippe.
Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. Cremation has taken place.
