A salesman for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and living at 207 24th Avenue South in Nashville, Lawrence was 74 years old and a widower when he died of heart failure at Nashville General Hospital on January 20, 1960. Burial was two days later in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Nashville.
