very accomplished seamstress had many customers and some with unique requests, such as clown costumes
at a vocational school sewing class, she made her husband a double-breasted suit, highlight of the exhibition - made cloth dolls with embroidered faces - her unique dolls grew quickly into a business
active member of St Peter’s Lutheran Church Sturgeon Bay - participated in the Ladies Aide, sewing and prayer groups
Survivors include her husband, Clayton, and their 4 children, Darrel (Carol) CARDY, Whitehall, MI; Donna (Dan/now deceased) WOLSKE, Algoma; Margie CARDY, Green Bay; and Tom (Alice) CARDY, Lansing, MI - 7 grandchildren Cheryl (Dennis), and children Alex & Ben; Janet (Darin) MANZANO and children Caroline & Camille; Christopher CARDY; Trudy (Brian) PATTEN and children Jakob, Colby, & Breanna; Steve WOLSKE; Mark WOLSKE and child Arianna; and Kendall GABERT - Three sisters-in-law survive Dorothy ANSCHUTZ, Margie ANSCHUTZ and Darlene (Sylvester) PARMA; also many nieces & nephews - Eight brothers and 1 sister (Luella) preceded her in death Edwin, Elroy, Orville, Alfred, Lester, Lloyd, Alvin, Darrel
