John was born on June 24, 1908 in Germany. He came to the United States at a young age. He attended Holy Name Catholic School.
On June 13, 1931, John and Anna Horn were united in marriage at Ebenezer Lutheran Church. For 47 years, John had been employed by the Garton Toy Co., retiring in 1974. John enjoyed fishing and gardening and took a special pride in his tomato plants.
John was a member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church, where had had formerly served as an elder and usher.
John is survived by his wife, Anna; one son, John (Virginia) Blushkofski, Phoenix, Arizona; one daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Ruth Marie) Perry, Elkhart Lake; nine grandchildren; one brother, Dr. Philip Voss, Milwaukee; one sister, Mrs. Lester (Anastasia) Evans, Santa Clara, California.
John was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Anastasia and Philip Voskobonik, one brother and one sister.
