Per granddaughter Sue, Cecile was an amazing, amazing woman. Her husband died very early (1927) and she was left with two little boys, Euclid and Norman, to raise. She started out teaching in a one room schoolhouse in southern Illinois and later went into the Civil Service and moved by herself to New Jersey where she taught radar to military men at Fort Monmouth. She got a Master's Degree at Rutgers University. She was very determined, and had a lot of perseverance, and a very kind loving heart.

As of April 23 she has no marker on her grave.
