"OBITUARY - C D Britton, a resident of Neiltown, died April 10 at Linesville, in the western part of this county. His death was sudden and very unexpected, as he had been in his usual health. He was born at Richmond, O, on Feb 20, 1845. He was a veteran soldier, serving in the One Hundred and Twenty-fifth Ohio volunteer infantry. He was a member of the GAR and was quite widely known in this community. He is survived by his widow and by two children, Mrs Glen Dibble and Mrs Daniel Sutton. Funeral services in his remembrance were held yesterday and interment was made in Bethel cemetery (sic) [Union cemetery, near Bethel]."
