Mrs. Theresa Niggemann, who had been a resident of this city for the past 30 years, passed away at the family residence Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock after an illness of only a few weeks. During her long residence in San Jose the deceased had made many friends, who will be grieved to hear of her death. She was a woman of cheerful disposition and was ever looking after the comfort of those less fortunate than herself. Mrs. Niggemann was a native of Germany, coming to this city in 1887, where she had resided continously ever since. Besides her husband, Ferdinand Niggemann, the deceased leaves to mourn her loss four children - Ferdinand, George, Marie and Theresa Niggemann - a mother, five sisters and five brothers.
Funeral services will be held this morning at 9:30 o'clock from the parlors of the Hocking-Williams company on North First street; thence to St. Mary's church, where a requiem high mass will be celebrated for the repose of the soul of the deceased. The interment will take place at Santa Clara cemetery.
