Elva E. Eaton was born in Gloversville, Fulton county, N.Y., July 30, 1850 and died at her home in Gas City Dec. 26, 1917, aged sixty-seven years, four months and twenty three days.
June 30th, 1880 she was married to Leander F. Baxter who departed this life March 31, 1914. To this union were three children were born only one of whom is left.
Three years later, Sept. 8, 1917 deceased was united in marriage to Bro. John C. Riley of Gas City with whom she lived happy and contented life for the brief time of only three and a half months. She was taken very suddenly her death being caused by a stroke of apoplexy from which she could not rally, although all that loving hands could do was done to revive her. She gave her heart to God in childhood and has been faithful member of S. D. A. church for thirty years. We believe she rest in hope of life eternal.
