William Alin Bonds
March 16, 1926 ~ May 27, 2020

William Bonds, a third generation and lifetime resident of Dallas, Texas passed away May 27, 2020 after a brief illness of cancer. He was born March 16, 1926.

He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and then earned four degrees at SMU. During WWII he served on a submarine in the US Navy. Later, he became involved in the lumber business, land development and building industry. He volunteered his services to the City of Dallas in numerous commissions and boards and also to the Home and Apartment Builders serving as President and receiving the Hugh Prather Trophy in 1979.

For over 25 years he was very active as a volunteer in the Boy Scouts of America and was recognized with the Silver Beaver Award. He was an active member of Scofield Memorial Church.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Patricia and son, Bobby. Preceded in death by his parents and son, William Louis Bonds.

Burial will be at Restland Cemetery, Dallas.
