Funeral for Mark Parker, 58, of Nacogdoches will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, June 1, 2020 at Laird Funeral Home with Bro. John McGuire officiating. Interment will follow at Moore Cemetery in Nacogdoches County.

Mark was born on April 25, 1962 in Kittery, Maine to parents, Jack Delton Parker and Nellie Roby Dolly. He spent his childhood in Biloxi, Mississippi and enjoyed every opportunity he had to travel the woods and local areas doing things little boys do. He made his way to Nacogdoches where a chance meeting allowed him to find love. He married Connie Faires at her grandmother’s house in Garrison, on January 14, 1994 and they have spent 26 wonderful years full of adventure and joy. Mark worked hard to provide for Connie. He began his career in the oil field and worked his way up to directional driller. He ended his career as a company man. He loved Connie endlessly and was devoted to making sure she was happy. Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and crawfish! However, taking trips and spending time with his family was the most important thing to him and he enjoyed each moment he had with them. His girls were his greatest accomplishments and he was so proud of them. He was always available to help them and was always willing to do anything for them. He is going to be missed by everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Faires Parker; daughters, Tiffany Hoya and husband, C.K., Kimberly Parker and Ashley Parker; grandchildren, Lane Hoya, Colt Hoya, Mackenzy Hoya and Jax Parker; mother, Dolly Roby Parker; and brothers, Johnny Parker and wife, Cindy, Gary Parker and wife, Karen, David Parker and wife, Stephanie and Jeffrey Parker and wife, Rachael.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jack Delton Parker.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Parker, Gary Parker, David Parker, Jeffrey Parker, Jeff Parker, Jr., Jason Parker, Bubba Faires and C.K. Hoya.
