Mrs. Carrie Roehr.
FAIRBURY (PNS) - Mrs. Carrie Roehr, 71, of Kankakee, formerly of Fairbury and Chatsworth, died at 10:10 a.m Friday at Riverside Hospital in Kankakee. She had been a patient since November and in ill health two years.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Stiver Home for Funerals. The Rev. Kenneth Spemm will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
She was born Jan. 17, 1899 [1898?] at Letts, Iowa, a daughter of Edward and Minnie Curtis Harrison. She was married to John Friant May 3, 1915, in Peoria. He died in October of 1949. She then was married to Fred Roehr, Jan. 16, 1963, at Gilman. They had lived in Kankakee since their marriage.
Surviving are her husband; four sons, Elmer, Saunemin; Merle, Kankakee; Edward, Joliet; Jack, Crescent City; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Bradley and Mrs. Vera Wager, Fairbury; a brother, George, Bandera, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Myland, Port Huron, Mich.; Mrs. Bess Hilderbrand, Gilman; 17 grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, a brother, a sister and two grandchildren.
She attended the Presbyterian Church."
