Delphia Angle Basham, 91, of 602 Hale Avenue, Princeton, died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2005 at her home. Born Feb. 4, 1913 at Crumpler, she was the daughter of the late Aaron Angle and Josephine Stanley Angle.
Mrs. Basham was a member of the Kee Street United Methodist Church in Princeton and the United Methodist Women. She was retired from Leggett Department Store in Princeton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alva E. Basham; one daughter, Ruth Ann Higginbotham; one son, Bill Basham; three brothers, Rev. Austin Angle, Carl Angle and Ray Angle; one infant grandchild; and two infant great-grandchildren.
Survivors include one son-in-law, Kenneth Higginbotham of Princeton; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Greg Godwin officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
