Centerville, GA- Ruth Arlene Unruh Acheson, 96, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 6, 2019. Services will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Acheson was born November 27, 1922 in Wauneta, Nebraska to the late Elmer and Stella Littrel. She was a school teacher for many years in Tennessee, Alaska, and Georgia. She enjoyed painting landscapes. Arlene was a faithful and devoted member of the Church of the Nazarene. She was a caring person and loved the Lord with all her heart and it showed in her every day walk. Her greatest joy was her family who she loved and adored. Arlene was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, as well as a granddaughter, Cheri Ranea Unruh and husband Ramon Unruh. Following Ramon's death in 1989, Arlene spent a year as a volunteer missionary in Ukraine with Co-mission. In 2001, she married Margo Acheson who also preceded her in death.
Her memory will be cherished forever by her children, Karen Davis (Richard), Arizona; David Unruh (Cheri), Colorado; Rick Unruh (Carole), Warner Robins; Kathy Baughman (Todd), Alaska; 4 grandchildren, Rana Davis (Brian), Courtney Flores (Carlos), Brianna Alexander (David), Alex Baughman and 5 great grandchildren
