ROCK ISLAND - Memorial services for Kenneth D. Brostrom, Rock Island, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Memorial Christian Church, Rock Island. Visitation is one hour before the service at the church. The body was donated to Northern Illinois University of scientific study. Mr. Brostrom died Tuesday, July 16, 2002, at Trinity Medical Center-West Campus, Rock Island. Wheelan Funeral Home, Rock Island, is in charge of arrangements. He was employed as a photo engraver-lithographer at Rock Island Argus and had done photo art engraving at Bawden Printing and Desaulniers Printing. He also had worked at Robinson Hardware, Rock Island. He retired in 1987. He was born Dec. 20, 1926, in Maquoketa, Iowa. He married Roberta Breshears in 1984 in Rock Island. Memorials may be made to Memorial Christian Church New Building Fund, or American Lung Association. Survivors include his wife, Roberta; sons, Lee E., San Dimas, Calif., and Scott L., Desert Hills, Ariz.; stepchildren, Madelyn Cox, Davenport, Jennifer Brown, Round Rock, Texas, and Robert Breshears Sr., Sherrard, Ill.; six grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; a great-grandchild; 12 step-great-grandchildren.
