Frances was born Mary Frances Rickles, however, due to an incomplete birth certificate, she was able to re-name herself. She chose Leslie as her middle name in memory of her mother, Savannah Catherine Leslie Rickles.
Frances was the daughter of James Gartrell Rickles and Savannah Catherine Leslie Rickles.
Frances married LeRoy Odom and had three daughters; Pamela Catherine, Julia Kay and Suzanne. After Roy's death she remarried childhood friend, Edward Taylor Wright. Edward had two children from a previous marriage; Ronald and Shelia.
Frances and Edward had three children together; Gregory Edward, David Warren and Adria Michelle.
The couple divorced after almost 25 years of marriage.
Frances loved the Lord and was a life long member of the Kimberly Church of God.

She was a homemaker and member of Kimberly Church of God. Survivors are three sons, Ron Wright and David Wright of Birmingham, AL, Gregory Wright of Ft. Richey, FL; five daughters, June Burchfield of Bessemer, AL, Pam Lemons of Savannah, GA, Julie White of Monroeville, AL, Suzanne Johnson of Hinesville, GA; Adria Michelle Lupien of Fultondale, AL; two sisters, Bunny Sanders of El Cajon, CA and Charlotte Reed of Gallantin, TN; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 7, 2005 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home in Monroeville, AL. Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 8, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kimberly Church of God, in Kimberly, AL. Visitation will be held in Kimberly Monday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Morris Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home of Monroeville and Messmer-Goodwin Funeral Home of Warrior, AL in charge of arrangements.
