"Mrs Clark Dies at Centerville - Widow of Dr G L Clark Had Spent Most of Her Life in Borough - One of Centerville's well known and greatly beloved residents, Mrs Caroline Louise Banning Clark, aged 84 years, 4 months and 16 days, widow of Dr Gilbert Lafayette Clark, died at her home at 4:45 am, yesterday, following an illness of about a year. She was daughter of Dr and Mrs E T Banning and was born in New York City on March 20, 1852. Mrs Clark had spent the greater part of her life in Centerville. She married Dr Clark in New York City on January 12, 1880. While the Congregational church was active in Centerville she was a member. She leaves the following children: G R Clark of Battle Creek, Mich; Mrs Ina C Hall of Centerville, who lived with Mrs Clark; Mrs W H Sill of Parkersburg, W Va. One son, Archie D Clark, and one daughter, Mrs Carina Clark Stockwell, died several years ago. The body was removed to the Willis L Arnold funeral home at Townville to be prepared for burial. Services in her memory will be conducted from the Baptist church at 2 pm Sunday. Interment will be in Sunnyside cemetery."
