William Charles Cole of Mill Creek Township died at his home, four miles north of Sandy Lake, Nov. 3, at 10 a. m., after a long illness.

He was born Charles Bruce, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles (sic) Bruce, Jan. 9, 1866, in Mill Creek Township, and adopted when a small boy by the Cole family. He married Eva Jacobs who survives him, together with two daughters, Mrs. Mary Currier of Midland, Pa., and Mrs. Elizabeth Urey at home. There are three grandchildren. There are four brothers surviving: Elmer E. and Sherman Bruce of Slippery Rock; Clinton Bruce of Volant; Willis Bruce of Chandler, Okla.; Frank of Tulsa, Okla., and Harvey of El Reno, Okla.

Funeral services will be conducted at the home on Monday at 2:30 p. m., Rev. Fred Dent of the Presbyterian Church, Mercer, assisted by Rev. J. M. Croxall of the Sandy Lake Methodist church. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Sandy Lake.
