Edward N. Johnson was born May 30, 1848 and died Dec 18, 1904.

Edward N. Johnson enlisted in Company "H" McNair's Brigade Arkansas Infantry serving from 1863 - 1865. (Military record from Jann Woodard Civil War Records) He received 120 acres Homestead in the Jersey area of Bradley County. The deed was signed by President Grover Cleveland on January 2, 1895. He married Martha J. Woodruff who was born June 11, 1849 and died Oct 7, 1915; all of their children were born in Bradley County: Marriage recorded on Sept.2, 1875 recorded in Book B page 185 Bradley County, Arkansas. Their children are numerated on the 1900 Arkansas Census in Washington Township of Bradley County. AR.

Edward's parents were William L. Johnson who married Emelia Gentry; she was known as Millie. Their children are listed on the 1840 Mississippi Census, Choctaw County Household #225 & 1870 Arkansas
